Now, with Admiral Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn’s decree outlawing piracy, Blanborg trades foreign goods and dodges taxes as he seeks to acquire a new vessel of his own and rebuild his crew.

He wandered aimlessly, until he happened upon a mother dragon defending her nest from belligerent Gnath. For reasons he does not fully understand, Artoriel chose to defend the mother dragon’s eggs. The dragon, in gratitude, gifted him a single drop of her lifeblood. Upon tasting it, Artoriel’s senses were opened, and ever since, he could understand the language of all animals that fly, swim, or crawl upon the earth. He has kept this ‘heretical’ ability a closely-guarded secret. Today, Artoriel struggles to reconcile his strange, draconic impulses with the expected life of a knight of Durendaire.
